Seems this year it was a bit smaller than last year, but all in all it was a good day sun was shining and it was warm, not many people selling 2nd hand bits, and lee Andrews also didn't turn up this year as he had said we would be going. action Comms were there and theHome brew club had a table set up inside.

I have put the photos in the photo gallery for all to see not as many as last year but enough there to see.

To get there from the south, come along the M4 up to Glenbrook, once there you will see an info centre on the left just after that you turn left into Bennett street, follow Bennett street to the end then turn right, a few meters up the road on the left is a dirt track you should see signs and a person standing giving directions into it.

I'll be making the journey up the mountains from out the Central West of NSW to check out this event.   Hopefully I'll get to catch up with lots of old mates that I haven't seen for a while.

Spread the word - lets make this a big day for AR and radio in general

Seeya then,

Blue Mountains Amateur Radio Club Winterfest

Saturday August 19 at the 1st Blaxland Scout Hall, Reading Street, Glenbrook.

With reference to Winterfest, I can advise we ask anyone who wants to sell in the flea ? market, (what Field Day would not have the obligatory Flea Market)!, to be at the Scout Hall, in Reading Street Glenbrook by 0800 to set up.
Set up to finish about 0900 to 0930.
For those who do not know Glenbrook, check our Website for directions at  www.bmarc.org  ,follow the signs or just come up on 147.050 + offset, a 123 hz tone is required to access the repeater, and any club member can direct you.
We will open the gates to the public at 10.00.
Entry fee is $2.00 per head, with Children, under 12 admitted free.
A lucky door prize will be drawn on the day, ticket will be given on entry, but the winner MUST be present at the draw.
A raffle will be run, with a $100.00 gift voucher from any Westfield Store as the prize. Winner to be notified. Tickets are $2.00 each, or 3 for $5.00.
Major Retailers will be present, Andrews, Action, and ARI (aka VK Cables). WIA Bookshop, WICEN will also be present.
A BBQ will operate as well as cold drinks, Tea, Coffee also available. And,
We hope you can come and spend the day with us, maybe pick up some bargains and above all, enjoy a day in the mountains.
