That's quite amazing if they were really in NZ, due to the fact that the sunspot activity is at an all time low, I heard some amateurs say on air the other day that there is still some dx to be had despite the sunspot activity being so low, in fact they said that maybe the HF radio signals are being bounced off all the space junk (dead satellites etc) surrounding the earth  ;D
