Mount Gambier Field Day
South East Radio Group Convention 2008,  Mount Gambier, South Australia.

This has to be "The Best" field day in Australia. Yes, better than Wyong, just a little smaller.
It runs over two days and most people arrive in town on the friday to prepare for it.
It is well worth the road trip even from Sydney if you're a dedicated radio person,
especially if you are into or thinking about foxhunting. Quite often teams are looking for an
extra person to join their team.

June 7-8 (Queen?s Birthday weekend) 2008
Amateur Radio Convention & Australian Fox Hunting Championship
Venue: Scout Hall
Margaret Street, Mount Gambier

Lat: 37 49 57
Long: 140 46 37
(see map download below)

Accommodation may be at a premium this year as there are often other large events in the town. Book early.
One alternative to motels/caravan parks is bed & breakfasts.
REX also flys to Mt Gambier.
