Topic: wiring Leson Mike to super puma

Hi bunter

   Leson Desk TW 232.

  As I said earlier I'm no Electronics geek so probably should have given the wiring on the mike already attached to Puma

                                                                   which is            Braid          Black


                                                                                          Yellow       Red     Looking at plug front on groove at top

is it a leson desk mic or a leson hand mic

leson tw232 ?

Some radio's have the same pin outs and some don't

i am sure yellow and white are audio and the others are for tx just need to chop and change till you get the tx working then its as simple as swapping the yellow and white

easy way to see what pins on the mic is tx is short 2 pins  at a time till u see it key up on tx and that will tell you that much.

I dont know anything about electonics but can do basic stuff like rewiring a mike.

no red is used all 5 wires are red and braid or black should be TX ptt white and yellow should be your audio from the mic

Thanks bunter,  I'm sure your right about BRAID and BLACK together and I think RED is left unattached but I don't know in what order the other White - Yellow follow the BRAID/BLACK on the four pin plug.  Thanks anyway  Keith

I think the puma is a 4 pin, and i know the leson is a 5 wire mic

 best way to do it is use a multi meter to fig out what 2 wires are for ptt but im sure but not 100% sure that the braid and the black wire are to be solded to the same pin, i hope that gives you a better idea.
