Absolutely YES in Main Centres, BUT absolutely NOT in Country... Its our Lifeline to our workers/family and distant neighbours and those welcome visitors to our stations.

Should UHF CB be a even playing field for everyone?. i recon if we have all repeaters remove from the channels it would make it even for everyone to use.

There are too many people controlling the repeaters, like people that run allot of power and people that live close to a repeater and there are owners of repeaters.

Best way to have it was like it was from the start Simplex. and leave the emergency repeater running and have the ACA monitor it.

Nice dream! can't see it happening but! how about instead of removing repeaters, we remove the trouble makers! ACMA do a blitz  now & then on foul mouth power stations, shake em up once in awhile!
