Thanks Grant, I had already starting checking out the ACMA site, now I just wish I had more time now to sit down & program all the frequencies in  ;)

There are a number of places.
One of the more useful ..... ScanNSW .... no longer exists .... the webmaster had a brain explosion and deleted his site and forum

These are probably the three best left

http://www.scanningnsw.net84.net/
http://www.scanningnsw.net84.net/forum/ucp.php?mode=login

http://www.scansydney.com/
http://www.scansydney.com/board/

http://newcastlescan.tripod.com/
http://newcastlescan.com/forum/

And of course the ACMA register
http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/register_search.main_page

Thanks Damo, that's a good start, I did have a very comprehensive data base on my electronic diary, which is either still with the ex (smashed more likely by now) or it is in the bottom of one of the three six foot long cardboard boxes I have in the garage  ::) but the last time i looked at my diary (3 years ago) the battery was nearly flat so I think I have lost them  :-[

I will have to find the time to search out my old favorites, but first I  have to get my head around my new radio, it is a AOR AR-Mini

Quote
100kHz - 1299.995MHz, AM, WFM, NFM

TCXO for greater stability (+/-2.5ppm)

Long Battery Life (Approx. 22 hours)

1000 memory channels

CTCSS & DCS

Voice Inverter

Priority Channel

2 VFOs

Management PC software

and much more....

Very hard for me to get my head around the menu system it uses, I am used to the conventional key pad direct entry like my old Realistic scanner I had years ago.

Oh well, let's see if we can teach an old dog new tricks!  :D

Hey everyone, I have been out of scanning & radio in general for a long time, I last had a working scanner about 8 years ago & up until mid 2006 I was only listening to VKG on my Pearce-Simpson UF-2020 CB with Police Receive, until the mongrels went digital!  :-[

I just bought a 100Khz to 13000Mhz handheld Rx on Ebay, so now I want to get some good frequency lists, I am located in The Blue Mountains & work in Penrith.

I am interested in Fire/security/rail/air, basically anything really!

So can anyone point an old timer in the right direction?
