G'day guys,

Chris does indeed have some problems with access to those repeaters, because they are TURNED OFF!

FRA05 (Ch5 Emergency) that was situated at Dorrigo is no longer licensed and is turned off. Seems Urunga SES did not wish to continue providing this necessary service to the greater public (if anyone knows the Dorrigo/Bellingen area, it has terrible 3G/GSM coverage!). As for the others....PLO03 and PLO07 situated at Point Lookout are still licensed, but are also turned off. No-one knows why. However, VMF04 is still alive and kicking, so feel free to use

Do you suspect your antenna has moved ?

It might be time to borrow or buy a good SWR meter or antenna analyser.
There's always the chance that it's the repeaters' antenna systems that might be crook.

Get a dummy load and then check the coax SWR across the whole band of use.
Even with prevention, water still sometimes gets into coax and connectors.

i had the 50 ohm co-axe serviced @ Country Wide Communactions in coffs , and my UHF TX4400 h as not been used for a while. its been wraped in plastic and air seild tight so no air nor water could get in.

Hey guys i use to hit the following repeater channels


COF06 ( Coffs Harbour Repeater )

PLO03

PLO07 ( Covers New England )

but i cant hit them anymore i don't know why ? but the only ones i can hit is VMF04 AND THE Truckie Channel 29
