JOTA Operators Needed - Hunter Valley
« Reply #1 on: October 02, 2006, 02:12:49 PM »
ACREM will be helping the Lower Hunter District Scouts this year with JOTA (Jamboree On The Air), and as usual we desperately need help with radio operators and general helping hands! You don't need to be an Amateur Operator to help as we will also be using CB and commercial freq's, plus anyone can operate under the guidance of the station operator anyway.

The event will also be used to help educate the kids about the proper use of CB, including those low powered "Communicator" type sets, and the emergency channels. If anyone is involved in a JOTA weekend and would like so information about this to distribute to the kids at their camp, then please get in touch ASAP so we can send some out. JOTA is a unique opportunity to reach those that are actually using these sets, and their parents, so let's use it to our advantage!

Contact me via email director@acrem.org.au or you can use the Contact Form on our website www.acrem.org.au/contacts/feedback.php

Thanks.
