The Historical Radio Society of Australia (inc.) was formed in 1982 by a group of enthusiasts committed to the preservation of Australia's radio heritage. From it's origins in Victoria, the HRSA has become a nationwide organisation of over 1000 members, with affiliated groups all around Australia.

The AUSTRALIAN RADIO DX CLUB (Inc), is a non-profit organisation. The club was founded in June 1965. The ARDXC is dedicated to providing its members with news, information and to generate friendship amongst DXers and BCL's throughout Australia and the world. SHORTWAVE LISTENERS, BROADCAST BAND LISTENERS, UTLITIES, TV& FM RECEPTION are all covered by the ARDXC, in the magazine which is published eleven times per year.

The purpose of the club net is to act as a meeting place for club member shortwave listeners and other radio amateurs who wish to keep up to date with club news and events. The net is also the place to gain points to qualify for the "Moorabbin Award

The Mackay Amateur Radio Association is made up of Amateur Radio operators in the Mackay district who are interested publicisizing Amateur Radio as a hobby. It has been operating since the 1970's and helps out in many other local organisations through providing communications for events. The association is affiliated with the Wireless Institute Of Australia, Queensland Division. The association has a Amateur Callsign of VK4WIM.
